This year the book we are exploring is "Focus: Elevating the Essentials to Radically Improve Student Learning" by Mike Schmoker.
This
book is designed for teachers to reevaluate the focus of their instruction
and the curriculum involved.
It will help participants raise the level of their instruction by
working on the following areas: The importance of simplicity, clarity and
priority; content, instruction, and literacy in the content area.
I look forward to hearing about how this book impacts instruction and ultimately student achievement.
